An electric shock preventing method for a socket and an electric shock preventing socket. The electric shock preventing socket comprises a socket body (1), a socket mounting base (2), a shielding cover body (3), a temperature control switch (7), a rotation trigger switch (4) and a press trigger switch (5). The electric shock preventing method is simple in steps and is easy to implement. Energization is conducted only when the socket body is covered by the shielding cover body, and the socket is unable to be inserted or pulled under the condition of energization; when the shielding cover body is opened, the socket body is in a power-off condition, which performs an electric shock preventing function well to guarantee electricity safety; moreover, a press trigger switch is also added to form double protection, such that the security is better and the possibility of the occurrence of electric shock is prevented; and in addition, inserting and pulling actions are conducted only in the event of power off, such that a socket plug will not be burnt out by an electric arc generated at the moment of contact in the case where there is a load, and the service life is prolonged. The electric shock preventing socket has the advantages of good electric shock preventing effect, high security, is easy to manufacture and has low costs.
