Title:
ELECTRIC TOOL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/067789
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In a conventional electric tool, such as a hand-held disc grinder or a hand-held circular saw, provided with a lock-on mechanism for locking the electric motor to an activated state, if the electric tool is dropped by mistake, the electric tool can damage the floor surface because the electric motor is adapted to be stopped by detection of an impact generated when the electric tool collides with the floor surface.  In an electric tool of the invention, damage to the floor surface is reduced when the electric tool is dropped in a lock-on state. The electric tool is configured in such a manner that the acceleration (g) thereof during falling under gravity is detected by an acceleration sensor (20) to stop the electric motor (5).  By this, the electric tool collides with the floor surface with a tip tool, such as a grindstone, stopped.
