Abstract:
The present invention relates to an electric toothbrush which uses electricity to brush teeth by rotating a brush, wherein the electric toothbrush comprises two cylindrical brushes rotated by a drive motor to allow the front and back surfaces of teeth to be simultaneously cleaned and in which bristles of the brushes move downward from top to bottom in case of the upper teeth and move upward from bottom to top in case of the lower teeth to enable uneven surfaces of teeth to be thoroughly cleaned, and by a reduction in brushing time, a decrease in required arm strength and the like, the convenience of brushing teeth is improved. The electric toothbrush of the present invention comprises: a handle (20) in which a drive motor (30) and a storage battery (31) are mounted inside; a cylindrical brush mounting unit (21) coupled to the handle (20), in which a lower cover (21a) is formed at a front end; and cylindrical brushes which are rotatably provided at the lower cover (21a) of the cylindrical brush mounting unit (21) and operate by a drive motor (30) provided inside the handle (20), wherein two cylindrical brushes (22) are rotatably provided at the lower cover (21a) of the cylindrical brush mounting unit (21) and are spaced from each other by an interval corresponding to the thickness of a tooth, and a power transmission device is formed between the output shaft of the drive motor (30) and the two cylindrical brushes (22).
