Abstract:
Disclosed is an electric toothbrush. The present invention comprises: a body unit provided with an electric toothbrush head; and a cover unit which is detachably coupled to the electric toothbrush head to sterilize the electric toothbrush head, wherein the body unit includes a contact-based power output terminal that supplies power to the cover unit. According to the present invention, since the body unit of the electric toothbrush includes the cover unit for sterilization that receives power from the body unit of the electric toothbrush when coupled thereto, a user, after using the electric toothbrush, can sterilize the electric toothbrush by coupling the cover unit thereto, without having to purchase or possess an additional sterilization device. Further, according to the present invention, the cover unit for sterilization, which is coupled to the body unit of the electric toothbrush to store the electric toothbrush after use, enables convenient management of the hygiene of the electric toothbrush, and thus can remarkably improve the portability of the electric toothbrush.
