Abstract:
This electric vacuum cleaner includes: a dust collecting tank (1); and a base body (6) having wheels, a mounting hole (12) for mounting the dust collecting tank (1), and a pedal (8). A locking portion for locking the dust collecting tank (1) to the base body (6) with the the dust collecting tank (1) mounted in the mounting hole (12), and a linking portion for causing the dust collecting tank (1) to protrude above the base body (6) are disposed in the mounting hole (12). The locking portion and the linking portion are connected to the pedal (8), and when the pedal (8) is depressed, the locking portion releases the locking of the dust collecting tank (1) to the base body (6), and the linking portion causes the dust collecting tank (1) to protrude above the base body (6). This makes it possible to provide an electric vacuum cleaner with which the dust collecting tank (1) can be handled easily during movement or when discharging dust, for example.
