Abstract:
This electric vacuum cleaner (S) comprises a vacuum cleaner body (1) provided with an electrical blower (14), and a dust collection device (10) that can be attached to and detached from the vacuum cleaner body (1), the electric vacuum cleaner (S) being such that the direction (α21) along which a user unlatches a release mechanism (26) when taking the dust collection device (10) out from the vacuum cleaner body (1) is a rear-to-front direction. A space (26s) in which the user holds a holding part (26e) in order to unlatch the release mechanism (26) when taking the dust collection device (10) out from the vacuum cleaner body 1, and a front space (21p) in which air enters the vacuum cleaner body (1) after dust has been removed in the dust collection device (10), preferably overlap in a direction perpendicular to the center axis (O) of the dust collection device (10).
