Abstract:
[Problem] To achieve an electric vacuum cleaner in which cleaning utilizing suction created by an electric blower and cleaning utilizing the rotation of a rotary brush can be used appropriately for different purposes. [Solution] An electric vacuum cleaner 10 comprises an electric blower 22, a dust collector 30, a suction port 62, a rotary cleaning body 46 rotationally driven by a cleaning body driving unit 48, and an operating unit 28 that can be used to switch the electric vacuum cleaner 10 to one of a plurality of modes. The dust collector 30 includes a first dust collector 24 and a second dust collector 64 disposed closer to the suction port 62 than the first dust collector 24 on a pathway connecting the first dust collector 24 and the suction port 62. The plurality of modes include a first cleaning mode that drives the cleaning body driving unit 48 while the driving of the electric blower 22 is being stopped and a second cleaning mode that drives the electric blower 22 and the cleaning body driving unit 48.
