Abstract:
This electric wire conductor 10A comprises a twisted wire formed by twisting a plurality of strands 1 and has a deformed portion of which a section intersecting an axial line direction of the twisted wire is formed into a flat shape having a width W of the section larger than a height H or into a sector form having one side or two sides meeting each other at a vertex and a curve that protrudes outward and connects the ends of the side, wherein, in an outer peripheral portion facing the outer periphery of the deformed portion, the rate of deformation of the strands 1 from being circular in the section of the deformed portion is less than or equal to 70 % of the rate of deformation of a central portion positioned inside the outer peripheral portion. This coated electric wire has the electric wire conductor 10A and an insulating body coating the outer periphery of the electric wire conductor 10A. This wire harness comprises the coated electric wire. The electric wire conductor 10A described above is manufactured by performing a compression process in which a material twisted wire formed by twisting the strands 1 is pressed using a roller from a first direction and a second direction which intersect the axial line direction of the material twisted wire and are opposed to each other.
