Provided is an electric work machine that is provided with an electric drive device that is capable of enhancing convenience when a storage element is charged by power from an external power source such as a commercial power system, and that is capable of simplifying the configuration of a circuit compared to the conventional art. The electric work machine (100), provided with the electric drive device (10), which has a plurality of inverters (11) that are supplied with the same DC voltage from the storage element (BT) and that drive a plurality of motors (M), is provided with a first switching means (SWa) for conducting and shutting off electricity between a first leg group (G1) and a connection leg group (Gn), and has first connection terminals (T1, T2), which connect a first inverter (L1) between the midpoint of a leg (LG1) of the first leg group (G1) and the midpoint of a leg (LG6) of the second leg group (G2), and has second connection terminals (T3, T4), which connect to an external power source (PW) via a second inverter (L2) between the midpoint of a leg (LG7) of a third leg group (G3) and the midpoint of a leg (LG12) of a fourth leg group (G4).
