Abstract:
[Problem] This invention pertains to an electrical brake mechanism for a caster, the mechanism being able to reliably brake a caster. [Solution] The present invention is characterized by being provided with the following: a switch that is attached to an object to which a caster has been mounted and that outputs an instruction signal to a brake device; detectors that are provided to the rotation shaft of a cam and that are disposed in accordance with each position of a plurality of cam surfaces; a sensor that uses the detectors to detect the joining of each cam surface and an operation shaft; a motor that rotates according to switch input and stops when the sensor detects the position of a specific cam surface; and a row of gears that transmit the rotation of the motor to the rotation shaft of the cam.
