Abstract:

The electrical discharge machining device (101) comprises: an inter-pole distance control unit (13A) that controls the inter-pole distance between an electrode (16) and a workpiece (17); a jump operation control unit (12) that controls a jump operation to the electrode (16); a switch (14) that performs a control switching process between the inter-pole distance control and the jump operation control; a storage unit (21) that stores first control state information generated by the inter-pole distance control unit (13A) at a time when the control switching process is executed; a difference calculation unit (22) that calculates the difference between the first control state information and second control state information generated by the inter-pole distance control unit (13A) after the first control state information has been stored by the storage unit (21); and a machining condition adjustment unit (23) that adjusts machining conditions for electrical discharge machining so that the electrical discharge machining stabilizes when it is determined on the basis of the difference that the electrical discharge machining is unstable, and that adjusts the machining conditions so that the machining speed of the electrical discharge machining increases when it is determined on the basis of the difference that the electrical discharge machining is stable.
