Abstract:
Provided is an electro-acoustic converting film with which it is possible to improve acoustic pressure levels by increasing the conversion efficiency between electricity and sound, and to increase the bandwidth by reducing peak and dip irregularities in the acoustic pressure level in the frequency characteristic. This electro-acoustic converting film includes: a polymer composite piezoelectric body formed by dispersing piezoelectric particles in a viscoelastic matrix containing a polymer material which has a cyanoethyl group and is viscoelastic at room temperature; two thin-film electrodes laminated onto both surfaces of the polymer composite piezoelectric body; and two protective layers laminated onto each of the two thin-film electrodes; wherein the viscoelastic matrix contains an additive polymer material which is a polymer material having a relative dielectric constant at least equal to 10.
