Title:
ELECTROCHEMICAL DEVICE FOR MOVING PARTICLES COVERED WITH PROTEIN
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2000/077163
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An electrochemical device for moving particles covered with a protein, characterized in that it has at least n pieces (n ≥ 2) of electrodes contacting with a liquid containing particles covered with a protein and a circuit generating a potential difference between the above electrodes in a range such that it does not cause the electrolysis of the liquid, and thereby has an ability to move the above particles to the direction toward the above electrodes. The electrochemical device can move particles covered with a protein with a simple and easy procedure, and thus can be applied for an apparatus for increasing or decreasing a microbe concentration in a test liquid, a method or an apparatus for attracting a blood component which can remove a microbe from a blood sample by a physical procedure, and an electrical apparatus which can deduce a microbe concentration on the surface of a heat exchanger.
