Abstract:
This electrochemical device includes: a monitor means that displays an image on a liquid crystal monitor display surface having a column direction BM; and a variable mirror means that includes a working electrode and a counter electrode on first and second light transmissive substrates, and an electrolytic solution containing Ag and disposed between both the electrodes, and deposits an Ag film on the working electrode by applying voltage between both the electrodes. The working electrode and the counter electrode each include a metal lead frame pair (21, 22), a metal electrode group (12) having a plurality of width-limited conductive patterns and connecting the metal lead frame pair, and a transparent conductive film that is in contact with the metal electrode group and covers a substrate surface. The metal electrode group wholly extends in parallel with the column direction BM, and is repeatedly curved by locally crossing the column direction, being reversed in the opposite direction, and crossing the column direction again.
