Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an electrochemical device with a high capacity and superior productivity. [Solution] An electrochemical device according to the present invention has: a positive electrode having a positive-electrode current-collector composed of a conducting material and a positive-electrode active-material layer formed on the positive-electrode current-collector; a negative electrode having a negative-electrode current-collector composed of a conducting material and a negative-electrode active-material layer formed on the negative-electrode current-collector; a separator disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode; and an electrolyte in which the positive electrode, the negative electrode, and the separator are immersed. Metal lithium is bonded to a lithium-electrode current-collector, and the lithium-electrode current-collector is disposed so as to abut against the negative-electrode active-material layer and is immersed in the electrolyte, thereby causing the negative-electrode active material to be pre-doped with lithium ions.
