Abstract:
One embodiment of the present invention is an electrochemical reactor which comprises: a pair of electrodes; an electrolyte aqueous solution present between the pair of electrodes; a water-repelling porous fluororesin film disposed so that at least one surface thereof is in contact with the electrolyte aqueous solution, the water-repelling porous fluororesin film having a plurality of fine pores which communicate with one another; and a pressurization means for pressurizing the electrolyte aqueous solution. The electrochemical reactor is provided with an ion ON/OFF planar switch which serves as an ion conductor. According to the present embodiment, it is possible to provide electrolysis refining, a secondary cell, and a capacitor in which the water-repelling porous fluororesin film is used as an ion ON/OFF planar switch.
