Abstract:

Disclosed is an electrode for an anode used in a sodium battery which generates electric energy through sodium ion transfer. The electrode includes an additive comprising a transition metal and a catalyst, and a metal sulfide which is mixed with the additive to form the electrode, wherein the additive is Ni, the metal sulfide may be Ni3S2, and the mixing ratio may be varied. Addition of the additive enables the implementation of a sodium battery wherein overcharging thereof is prevented.
