Abstract:

The present application provides an electrode assembly, comprising first electrode plates, second electrode plates, and a separator, the separator being disposed between the first electrode plates and the second electrode plates. The plurality of first electrode plates and the plurality of second electrode plates are stacked. The electrode assembly further comprises first tabs disposed on the first electrode plates, and second tabs and third tabs disposed on the second electrode plates. The projections of the first tabs, the second tabs, and the third tabs on the first electrode plates do not overlap. The electrode assembly is provided with a multi-tab structure to achieve the purpose of improving the overcurrent capacity of a battery and reducing the temperature rise. The present application also provides a battery having the electrode assembly.
