Abstract:
A jelly roll-type electrode assembly according to the present invention, which is prepared by winding together a negative electrode, a separator and a positive electrode from a respective end thereof, comprises a negative electrode which is prepared by applying a negative electrode active material on the surface of a negative electrode current collector, wherein a negative electrode current collector exposure portion, which does not have the negative electrode active material applied thereon to expose the surface of the negative electrode current collector, is formed on the one end. The negative electrode is wound together with the separator and positive electrode such that the negative electrode current collector exposure portion is positioned on the center from which the winding begins. A negative electrode tab is connected to the negative electrode current collector exposure portion.
