Abstract:

The present invention relates to an electrode assembly wherein multiple unit cells are placed side by side along the longitudinal direction of a folding separator, and the unit cells are laminated as the folding separator is folded. At least one of the unit cells comprises: a first double-surfaced electrode having slurry laminated on both side surfaces of a collector thereof; a separator laminated adjacent to the first double-surfaced electrode; a second double-surfaced electrode laminated adjacent to the separator, the second double-surfaced electrode having slurry laminated on both side surfaces of a collector thereof; and a single-surfaced electrode laminated adjacent to the second double-surfaced electrode, the single-surfaced electrode having slurry laminated only on one surface that faces the second double-surfaced electrode. The single-surfaced electrode has a coating layer attached to the one surface that faces the second double-surfaced electrode so as to prevent contact thereof with the second double-surfaced electrode and to allow ions to move in/out.
