A positive electrode of this metal-air secondary battery is provided with a conductive layer having electrical conductivity and a catalyst layer laminated on the conductive layer. Particles of a first perovskite oxide and particles of a second perovskite oxide, which are different from each other, are dispersed in the catalyst layer; and the average particle diameter of the first perovskite oxide is from 2 μm to 9 μm (inclusive), while the average particle diameter of the second perovskite oxide is from 0.10 μm to 1.0 μm (inclusive). Consequently, the battery performance is able to be improved, while maintaining a certain strength of the catalyst layer.
