Abstract:
Provided in the present application are an electrode sheet and an application thereof. A first functional surface of a current collector in the electrode sheet comprises a first active layer area and a first tab area, and a second functional surface of the current collector comprises a second active layer area corresponding to the first active layer area and a second tab area corresponding to the first tab area, wherein an active layer is arranged in the first active layer area and/or the second active layer area; and the first tab area is provided with N through holes that penetrate the first tab area to the second tab area; a tab passes through a through hole; a first section of the tab is connected to the first tab area to form a first connection region, and a second section of the tab is connected to the second tab area to form a second connection region; and N ≥ 1. In the present application, through holes that penetrate a first tab area to a second tab area are configured in the first tab area, a tab runs through a through hole, and two ends of the tab are respectively connected to the first tab area and the second tab area, such that two faces of a current collector can be conducted, thereby improving the energy density of a lithium ion battery.
