Abstract:
Provided is an electrolyte material which has high proton conductivity and excellent hot water resistance.
An electrolyte material which is formed from a polymer H having a unit represented by formula u1 and a unit based on tetrafluoroethylene, and wherein: the polymer H has an equivalent weight EW of 400-550 g/equivalent; and the mass decrease rate after 24-hour immersion in hot water at 120°C is 15% by mass or less.
In the formula, Q11 represents a perfluoroalkylene group which may have an ether oxygen atom; Q12 represents a single bond or a perfluoroalkylene group which may have an ether oxygen atom; Y1 represents a fluorine atom or the like; s represents 0 or 1; Rf1 represents a perfluoroalkyl group which may have an ether oxygen atom; X1 represents an oxygen atom or the like; a represents 0 in cases where X1 is an oxygen atom; and Z+ represents H+ or the like.
