Abstract:
Provided are an electrolyte for a rechargeable lithium battery and a rechargeable lithium battery including same, the electrolyte comprising a nonaqueous organic solvent, a lithium salt, and an additive, wherein the additive is a composition comprising a first compound represented by chemical formula 1 and a second compound represented by chemical formula 2. The details of chemical formulas 1 and 2 are as set forth in the specification.
