Title:
ELECTROLYTE SOLUTION FOR ALKALI METAL-SULFUR-BASED SECONDARY BATTERY, AND ALKALI METAL-SULFUR-BASED SECONDARY BATTERY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/163778
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided are the following: an electrolyte solution for an alkali metal-sulfur-based secondary battery, which does not require addition of lithium polysulfide, exhibits excellent cycle performance, and has low resistance during charging and discharging; and an alkali metal-sulfur-based secondary battery. This electrolyte solution for an alkali metal-sulfur-based secondary battery is provided with a positive electrode that includes a composite carbon material that contains a carbon material and a sulfur-containing positive electrode active substance. The electrolyte solution is characterized in that the carbon material has a pore volume ratio (micropore/mesopore) of 1.5 or more, and in containing a fluorinated ether represented by formula (1): R11-(OR12)n11-O-R13. (In the formula, R11 and R13 may be the same as, or different from, each other, and each denote an alkyl group that may have a fluorine atom, but at least one of R11 and R13 has a fluorine atom. R12 is an alkylene group that may have a fluorine atom. n11 is 0, 1 or 2.)
