Abstract:
The disclosed electrolyzed water generation device 1 is provided with: an electrolytic cell 3 that has at least a pair of a positive electrode 32 and a negative electrode 31, and a positive electrode chamber 32a and a negative electrode chamber 31a that are partitioned from each other by a diaphragm 33, the positive electrode 32 being accommodated in the positive electrode chamber 32a and the negative electrode 31 being accommodated in the negative electrode chamber 31a; a power supply unit 14 for passing a current between the positive electrode 32 and the negative electrode 31; and a control unit 10 for controlling the power supply unit 14. The control unit 10 controls the power supply unit 14 so that raw water introduced into the electrolytic cell 3 is electrolyzed to generate negative-electrode water in the negative electrode chamber 31a and generate positive-electrode water in the positive electrode chamber 32a. The control unit 10 sets the applied current at the time of electrolysis to i[A] and the flow rate of the raw water in the negative electrode chamber 31a at the time of electrolysis to f[L/min], and detects the pH of the negative-electrode water on the basis of the value of Alog(i/f)+B (where A and B are constants). With the above configuration, the pH of the electrolyzed water can be detected as necessary.
