Abstract:
An electromagnetic actuator for driving the shutter of a camera, comprising a rotor (10) magnetized to the north and south poles and first magnetic pole parts (21, 31) and second magnetic pole parts (22, 32) disposed on the outer peripheral surface of the rotor (10) opposedly to each other and producing the magnetic poles different from each other by the transmission of electricity to a coil (40), wherein the output pin (11) of the rotor (10) forms a projected part magnetized to either of the north and south poles and projecting in the radial outside direction and an auxiliary magnetic pole piece (33) disposed at a position close to the output pin (11) forming the projected part when the rotor (10) is placed at the initial position and producing the same magnetic pole as the first magnetic pole part (31) when an electricity is transmitted thereto is installed near the first magnetic pole part (31), whereby a holding force particularly in non-energized state can be increased or a driving force can be increased.
