Abstract:
This electromagnetic actuator (100A) is provided with: a cylindrical coil (1); a movable iron core (2) capable of moving in the direction of the central axis of the coil (1) from an initial position when a contact used in a breaker is in an open state to a position when the contact is in a closed state; a shaft (6) moving with the movable iron core (2); a stationary iron core (3) facing the movable iron core (2) in the central axis direction of the coil (1); and a yoke (4) surrounding the coil (1), the movable iron core (2), and the stationary iron core (3). The yoke (4) has a projection section (5A) projecting from an inner wall surface of the yoke (4) to the inside of the yoke (4) and extending in a direction toward the stationary iron core (3) from the movable iron core (2). The projection section (5A) has a thin projection part (5b) facing the stationary iron core (3), and the movable iron core (2) has an attraction surface (2a) facing the stationary iron core (3). At the initial position, the tip surface (5c) of the thin projection part (5b) projects beyond the attraction surface (2a) in a direction toward where the stationary iron core (3) is disposed.
