Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to increase the force for maintaining a movable element in a position to put a contact device in closed state. Provided is a contact device (1) in which, as a movable element (13) is moved, a closed state in which a movable contact (81, 82) contacts a fixed contact (311, 321) and an open state in which the movable contact (81, 82) is separated from the fixed contact (311, 321) are switched. A bus bar (21, 22) is electrically connected to the fixed contact (311, 321). When the contact device (1) is in closed state, the movable element (13) is subjected to a force, due to a magnetic field generated by means of a current flowing through the bus bar (21, 22), that would maintain the movable element (13) in a position to put the contact device (1) in closed state. Such is the positional relationship in which the bus bar (21, 22) and an electromagnetic device (10) are arranged.
