Abstract:
Provided is an electromagnetic switch device for a starter capable of preventing leakage current due to contact abrasion powder in spite of having a built-in starting circuit. The switch device comprises: a connector A (15) which is connected to a starting resistor (20), has one of a pair of starting circuit contacts (14) at one end, and constitutes a starting circuit (8); a connector B (16) which is connected to one of a pair of main fixed contacts (18), and has the other of the pair of starting circuit contacts (14) at one end; an insulation member (17) for electrically insulating the connector A (15) and the connector B (16) from a main fixed core (12); and an elastic member (19) for sealing a contact chamber 11a. The connector A (15) and the connector B (16) are sandwiched by a terminal block (11) and the main fixed core (12) via the insulation member (17) and the elastic member (19).
