Abstract:
An electromagnetic wave control device 10 is provided with a waveguide 7 for electromagnetic wave propagation, a polarization adjusting unit 3 capable of adjusting the polarization state of the electromagnetic wave before propagating to the waveguide 7, and a coupler 5 transmitting the electromagnetic wave from the polarization adjusting unit to the waveguide. The coupler 5 has a conductor structure formed of an electrically conductive material, the conductor structure having a passing portion through which the electromagnetic wave from the polarization adjusting unit 3 passes. The waveguide 7 is provided on the opposite side to the polarization adjusting unit 3 with respect to the coupler 5. When viewed from a central axis C1 of the passing portion 5a, the waveguide 7 extends from one side of a first direction to the other side thereof, the first direction being orthogonal to a second direction. The center in the width direction of the waveguide 7 is slightly off the central axis C of the second direction.
