Abstract:
An electromagnetic wave control device, characterized in being provided with: a plurality of hollow dielectric rods 1 in which a gas for generating plasma reflecting electromagnetic waves by ionization is charged into the sealed interior space, and electrodes 2 are disposed at both ends in the space; a plurality of state control units 4, which are connected to each of the hollow dielectric rods 1, and which adjust the current fed to the electrodes 2 of the hollow dielectric rods 1 and thereby set the gas charged into the hollow dielectric rods 1 to a state in which a plasma is generated or a state in which a plasma is not generated; and a selection unit 11 for selecting, on the basis of the relationship between the radiation characteristics of incident electromagnetic waves and radiation characteristics of emitted electromagnetic waves, the hollow dielectric rod 1, among the plurality of hollow dielectric rods 1, in which the gas is to be set to a state in which a plasma is generated, and issuing a command to feed current to the state control unit 4 connected to the selected hollow dielectric rod 1.
