Abstract:
Disclosed is an electromagnetically activated water which is produced by exposing
a mixed gas composed of hydrogen and oxygen generated by electric decomposition
of water to purified water (27c) contained in a first purified water tank (40a),
a second purified water tank (40b) and a third purified water tank (40c) in this
order. The magnetically activated water preferably has an oxidation reduction
potential of -1000 to -10 mV. The water to which the mixed gas is to be exposed is
preferably a purified water having a negative ion content of 0.1 ppm or less. The
mixed gas is exposed to water immediately after the mixed gas is generated by electric
decomposition of water. The electromagnetically activated water can be used
for immersing a bean therein to promote the swelling of the bean, for immersing
a vegetable therein to retain the freshness of the vegetable, for immersing a
fish therein and then removing the fish therefrom to chill or store the fish and
the like.
