Abstract:
This invention provides a fluorescent substance powder formed of a fine grain crystal of a zinc sulfide fluorescent substance which is necessary for showing a good color image on a fluorescent film and particularly produces blue and green luminescence. The fluorescent substance powder is produced by allowing a fine grain crystal of zinc sulfide to grow in a gasified zinc halide as a flux within a crucible shielded from the exterior.
