Abstract:

An electron beam sterilization device is provided with: a sterilization chamber (6) in which sterilization is performed by irradiating a container with an electron beam; a shielding cover body that covers the sterilization chamber (6) and blocks radiation; and a rotating body comprising an upper part that is exposed from an opening (44) formed in the shielding cover body. The shielding cover body comprises a fixed shielding cover (41) that covers the upper part of the rotating body. A rotating annular shielding plate (64) that protrudes from the rotating body on the fixed shielding cover (41) side and a fixed annular shielding plate (65) that protrudes from the shielding cover body on the rotating body side are provided between the rotating body and the fixed shielding cover (41). The rotating annular shielding plate (64) and the fixed annular shielding plate (65) face each other with a shielding space (66) therebetween. A shielding wrap section (67) that blocks radiation is formed by the rotating annular shielding plate (64) and the fixed annular shielding plate (65).
