Title:
ELECTRONIC BALANCE WITH WINDSHIELD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/082915
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To acquire stable measurement results in both weigh-out and normal modes and to obtain a weight value excluding the influence of the convection within the windshield. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] An electronic balance comprises a windshield (51) surrounding a measuring pan (53) and having an openable/closable door (52) and is used to obtain a weight value by averaging measured data with the response time. The electronic balance further comprises a door opening/closure sensor (3) for detecting opening/closure of the door (52) and a mode switching function for selecting either a weigh-out mode in which the response time is relatively short when the door (52) is open and a normal mode in which the response time is relatively long when the door (52) is closed. In a convection time measuring mode, the convection time until the variation of the measured data becomes within a predetermined width after the door is closed in a state that no sample is placed on the measuring pan (53) is measured and stored. In a normal measuring mode, a sample is placed on the measuring pan (53), the door (52) is closed, the measured data is averaged with a predetermined response time after the stored convection time has passed, and thus a weight value is calculated.
