Abstract:
This electronic balance is provided with: a balance main body portion 2 provided with a weighing pan 5 on an upper surface of which an object being weighed A is placed, and a display portion 6 which displays the weight of the object being weighed; and a lid 3 which is free to be raised and lowered and which is capable of closing the upper surface of the balance main body portion 2. A camera 12 which captures an image of the upper surface of the balance main body portion 2, including the weighing pan 5 and the display portion 6, is installed in the lid 3. Alternatively, the camera 12 is installed on the upper surface of the balance main body portion 2, and the lid 3 has on a surface thereof facing the balance main body portion 2 a reflecting means for reflecting an image of the upper surface of the balance main body portion 2, including the weighing pan 5 and the display portion 6, toward the camera 12 when the lid 3 is raised. The electronic balance is capable of capturing an image of the object being weighed together with the displayed weight thereof, and moreover no special support structure is required to support the camera for capturing the image, and the upper surface of the balance main body portion can be closed when not in use.
