An electronic cigarette, comprising: an electronic cigarette body, the electronic cigarette body being provided with a liquid storage assembly (202), an atomisation assembly (303), and a mouthpiece assembly (203), the liquid storage assembly (202) being provided with a liquid storage cavity (301), and a liquid addition opening (302) in communication with the liquid storage cavity (301), the mouthpiece assembly (203) covering the liquid addition opening (302), the atomisation assembly (303) being inserted into the liquid storage assembly (202). A limiting portion (304), a sealing piece (305) covering the liquid addition opening (302), and a force application mechanism are arranged within the liquid addition opening (302), a surface of the sealing piece (305) abutting the limiting portion (304), said surface facing the limiting portion (304). Even if the mouthpiece assembly (203) is accidentally separated from the liquid storage assembly (202), since the sealing piece (305) continually abuts the limiting portion (304), e-liquid located within the liquid storage cavity (301) will not leak. In addition, after e-liquid has been added to the liquid storage cavity (301), the sealing piece (305) automatically abuts the limiting portion (304) under the effect of the force application mechanism, without a user operation.
