An electronic component in which circuit elements and external terminals for the circuit elements composed of conductive projections (9) are provided on one side of a substrate (1). The structure of the electronic component withstands an external force after the electronic component is mounted. The constituent elements of each unit circuit element are a pair of electrodes (2), resistors (3) or dielectric bodies in contact with the electrodes (2). A part of the electrodes (2) are exposed as lands (4). The circuit elements are covered with overcoat (7). The conductive projections (9) include fixing members, and are fixed to the lands (4) by means of the fixing members. The areas of at least three lands (4b) of the lands (4) are larger than those of the other lands (4a). When the conductive projections (9) are fixed only to the lands (4b) having the larger areas, the electronic component can stand alone in a state that the conductive projections (9) are in contact with the ground. All the conductive projections (9) are formed by fixing conductive balls (10) of substantially the same dimensions to the whole surfaces of the lands (4).
