Abstract:

An electronic component (1) comprising: an insulating substrate (10) that has a first main surface (10a) and a second main surface (10b) which are opposite each other in the thickness direction, and is equipped with a plurality of ground electrodes (30a, 30b) which are exposed on a side surface (10c); conductive films (33a, 33b) that cover the surfaces of the ground electrodes (30a, 30b) exposed on the side surface (10c) of the insulating substrate (10); and a shielding film (50) that covers the first main surface (10a) and the side surface (10c) of the insulating substrate (10) as well as the surfaces of the conductive films (33a, 33b), wherein the ground electrodes (30a, 30b) include a first ground electrode (30a) that is exposed on the side surface (10c) of the insulating substrate (10) at a position closer to the first main surface (10a) of the insulating substrate (10) and a second ground electrode (30b) that is exposed on the side surface (10c) of the insulating substrate (10) at a position closer to the second main surface (10b) of the insulating substrate (10), the insulating films (33a, 33b) include a first conductive film (33a) that covers the surface of the first ground electrode (30a) and a second conductive film (33b) that covers the surface of the second ground electrode (30b), and the thickness of the second conductive film (33b) is greater than the thickness of the first conductive film (33a).
