Abstract:
The present invention relates to an electronic device for assisting a driver of a vehicle and a method therefor, the electronic device comprising: a sensing unit for sensing the steering direction of a steering wheel of the vehicle; a processor for monitoring a turnabout of the steering direction of the steering wheel, obtaining a steering direction turnabout pattern of the turnabout of the steering direction of the steering wheel, and determining whether to provide an alarm to the driver of the vehicle on the basis of the obtained steering direction turnabout pattern; and an output unit for outputting the alarm to be provided to the driver on the basis of the determination.
