Abstract:
An electronic device, according to one embodiment, may comprise: a battery; a display comprising a display panel; a converter circuit configured to generate a negative bias voltage which is applied to the display panel, the converter circuit comprising a charge pump which comprises a first capacitor, a second capacitor, and a plurality of switches, and an LC filter circuit which is connected to the charge pump; and a control circuit. The control circuit, according to one embodiment, may be configured to control the plurality of switches included in the charge pump so as to, in one switching period of the plurality of switches, enable applying, to the LC filter circuit, any one among a zero-magnitude voltage, a second voltage having the opposite sign from that of a first voltage provided from the battery and having the same magnitude as that of the first voltage, or a third voltage having the opposite sign from that of the first voltage and being converted so as to have a magnitude that is twice that of the first voltage. The control circuit, according to one embodiment, may be configured to control the converter circuit so as to supply the negative bias voltage to the display panel on the basis of the operation of applying the zero-magnitude voltage, the second voltage, or the third voltage to the LC filter circuit. Other various embodiments are applicable.
