Abstract:
An electronic device according to an embodiment may comprise: a housing which includes a first housing and a second housing slidably connected to the first housing; a flexible display which includes a first area and a second area extending from the first area and retracted into or extended out of the housing according to sliding of the second housing; a support plate which is disposed within the electronic device and is coupled to the second housing to be slid therewith, the support plate including at least one magnet disposed in an area of the support plate such that the N pole and S pole thereof are arranged in a first direction in which the second housing is slid; a Hall sensor structure which is disposed adjacent to the at least one magnet within the first housing so as to measure a magnetic field of the at least one magnet and includes Hall sensors, the Hall sensors of the Hall sensor structure being arranged in the first direction while being spaced a first distance apart from each other; and at least one processor which is electrically connected to the Hall sensor structure, wherein the processor determines a distance by which the second housing is slid with respect to the first housing, on the basis of the magnetic field acquired by the Hall sensor structure through the at least one magnet.
