Abstract:
Various embodiments of the present invention relate to a device and a method for performing a network search in an electronic device. The electronic device comprises a first subscriber identity module, a second subscriber identity module, a communication circuit and a processor, and has a first protocol stack, which performs a network search based on first subscriber identity information and transmits, to a second protocol stack, indication information related to the network search, and the second protocol stack, which, if the indication information related to the network search is received, can perform a network search based on second subscriber identity information, on the basis of a network search range and/or the priority of a frequency band that are/is set on the basis of a network search result based on the first subscriber identity information. Other embodiments are possible.
