Abstract:
During low-power operation of an electronic device, which has a discharge lamp and a lamp power supply unit that provides electric power to the discharge lamp, by a control unit lighting the lamp at a lower electric power than the rating of the discharge lamp, lamp refreshing that supplies electric power that establishes a halogen cycle to the discharge lamp at a predetermined time interval is carried out in the lamp power supply unit. In addition, the control unit records control instructions for the lamp power supply unit during low-power operation in a recording unit (non-volatile memory).
