Abstract:
Disclosed are an electronic device and a control method thereof. An electronic device of the present disclosure comprises: a communication unit including a circuit; a memory for storing statistically collected anthropometric information about a human body; and a processor for receiving, through the communication unit, sensed values obtained according to a user's movement from an external device worn on the user's head, wherein the processor can estimate the length of each body part of the user on the basis of a first sensed value among the sensed values and the anthropometric information, obtain movement information for each body part of the user by using a second sensed value among the sensed values and the estimated length of each body part of the user, identifies an activity which the user is performing, on the basis of the obtained movement information for each body part of the user, and provide information for correcting a posture of the identified activity on the basis of reference motion information corresponding to the estimated length of each body part of the user and motion information for each body part of the user.
