Abstract:
An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device may comprise a memory and a communication interface, and may: group multiple washing machines into at least one group on the basis of usage data of each of the multiple washing machines; obtain representative usage pattern information of each group and store same in the memory; if a request for usage pattern information of a washing machine is received from an external electronic device, identify whether usage pattern information corresponding to identification information of the washing machine is stored in the memory; and if it is identified that the usage pattern information corresponding to the identification information of the washing machine is not stored in the memory, control the communication interface to transmit, to the external electronic device, representative usage pattern information of a group to which the washing machine belongs.
