Abstract:
Disclosed is an electronic device. The present electronic device comprises a communication interface and a processor which: controls a communication interface to transmit a signal of a first carrier frequency; determines the first carrier frequency as a search carrier frequency when a signal obtained through reflection of the signal of the first carrier frequency by a space where the electronic device is disposed is not received through the communication interface within a first threshold time interval after the transmission of the signal of the first carrier frequency; controls the communication interface to transmit a signal of a second carrier frequency different from the first carrier frequency when the signal obtained through reflection is received through the communication interface within the first threshold time interval after the transmission of the signal of the first carrier frequency; controls the communication interface to transmit a signal of the determined search carrier frequency; and identifies whether there is an object on the basis of whether a signal is received through the communication interface within a second threshold time interval after the transmission of the signal of the search carrier frequency.
