Abstract:
Disclosed is an electronic device including a sensor circuit that acquires sensor information corresponding to the movement of a treadmill user, a processor operatively connected to the sensor circuit, and a memory operatively connected to the processor. The memory may store instructions which, when executed, cause the processor to: acquire step count data and stride data corresponding to the step count data on the basis of the sensor information; store, in the memory, an exercise information table in which the step count data and the stride data are collected for each speed interval; determine whether a speed change occurs which is larger than or equal to a specified change rate from a first speed interval to a second speed interval among the speed intervals; select one of the speed intervals of a lower speed than the second speed interval as a representative speed interval when a speed change greater than or equal to the specified change rate occurs; initialize at least one of the speed intervals that is of a lower speed than the second speed interval and that is other than the representative speed interval; and include the step count data of the initialized speed interval in the representative speed interval. Various other embodiments comprehended through the specification are also possible.
