Abstract:
An electronic device according to an embodiment disclosed in the present document comprises a battery module including multiple cells, a sensor circuit for obtaining state values of each of the multiple cells, and a processor, wherein the processor enables: obtaining, through the sensor circuit, values related to states of each of the multiple cells as input data; obtaining, by using a designated matrix decomposition algorithm, feature data on the basis of a feature matrix derived from the input data; and identifying whether each of the multiple cells is abnormal or not, on the basis of the feature data. The feature matrix may be a matrix, in which values of a designated number of major diagonal components among multiple diagonal components of a diagonal matrix for the input data are replaced by 0.
